Ruto Wants to Replace Mutua With Kalonzo – Alai

Saturday, March 11, 2023Kenya Kwanza administration is considering replacing Dr. Alfred Mutua with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly MCA Robert Alai has today Saturday March 11 alleged that plans are being put in place to replace the former Machakos County governor who seems to be struggling with running the docket.

“This Kenya Kwanza regime is funny. Last week they offered Kalonzo the Foreign Affairs CS job because Alfred Mutua is causing a mess with the diplomatic community and also to have Kalonzo abandon Azimio. Kalonzo told them that it doesn’t impress him much,” Alai claimed through his Saturday post.

Word on the street has it that CS Mutua is not well complaisant with details of the ministry and has done so many mistakes in the process of holding diplomatic meetings with foreignness.

“The CS does not listen to advise, he never took his time to understand the inner workings of the Ministry, and he talks endlessly in briefings without really taking the time to understand what he is being briefed on.” A senior official in the Ministry claimed as quoted by cnyakundi.com.

Nyakundi reported that many feel that they are often cleaning up the endless mess of a politician who does not understand how to conduct diplomacy for a country.

Others also feel that the CS is keen on selling Kenya to the highest bidder with an example being his meeting with US First Lady, Jill Biden, where he instructed staff that the US should now be prioritised as a partner because they offered Kenya money where other countries had failed.

And during meetings with dignitaries, the Minister, reportedly, makes blunders which display that he is not well-informed on matters under him. A perfect example being when meeting with Secretary General of the African Development Bank, the CS had apparently not read his briefs nor been briefed prior to the meeting and didn’t know details like dates and venue of a conference that Kenya was hosting.
