Ruto’s Close Ally and PS Supports Raila’s Power-Sharing Demands

Wednesday, April 5, 2023 Ruto’s most trusted ally, Abraham Korir Sing’Oei, has supported Raila Odinga’s new power-sharing proposal with the president.

This is after the Azimio la Umoja leader, on Tuesday, April 4, faced much criticism from Kenya Kwanza leaning politicians after he envisioned dialogue akin to the 2008 Kofi Annan deal that created the position of Prime Minister.

“To this end, the coalition proposes a team drawn from its ranks both in Parliament and outside (Parliament).

“We shall go back to the people at the earliest sign of lack of seriousness by the other side,” Raila said.

Interestingly, amid the barrage of attacks from William Ruto’s friend, Raila was backed by Ruto’s most trusted ally, Abraham Korir Sing’Oei, who is currently the Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He argued that there was absolutely no problem when people sit down to discuss leadership matters that can bring peace.

“I find nothing reprehensible in what has been proposed by Raila.

“We are in a country where people must learn to listen to each other and not prejudge their intentions,” Sing’Oei noted.

With Ruto’s deafening silence over Raila’s Tuesday demands, the endorsement by Sing’Oei could be what pundits say, wishes of his master and a step towards a Raila-Ruto working formula.

Mr. Sing’Oei, is remembered for representing Dr.William Ruto at the International Criminal Court ICC.
