Ruto’s Last Hope to Meet Uhuru for Truce

Thursday, September 16, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto still has hopes of making peace with President Uhuru Kenyatta before their term elapses.

Addressing a section of leadership from Kandara Constituency at his Karen residence today September 16, the DP blamed ‘some politicians’ for poisoning his boss to a point it was decided he be sidelined in government.

He reasoned that Kenyatta is his boss and anytime he calls on him or wants him around for anything he will be available.

“Yeye ni mdosi wangu, kuna watu wakora wamekuja hapo wakaweka fitina mpaka wakasema huyu deputy president awekwe kando lakini mimi niko ready without condition any moment kwa sababu tulichaguliwa pamoja na Wakenya na walitupatia majukumu ya kuendesha serikali ya hii,” Ruto spoke.

He also seized the opportunity to warn those who had played a big role in pushing him out of government so that they could take over his space to be patient until next elections.

“Wale wengine wenye wameleta fitina wangoje twende kwa uchaguzi. Huwezi kuja kudoea serikali ambayo haukuunda. Waende watafute vile tulienda kutafuta na watatukuta huko tukitafuta pia,” added the DP.

Ruto was speaking this with regard to a clarion call from members of the clergies who yesterday Wednesday called upon the two leaders to conduct a truce so that the country can return to calmness.

The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishop KCCB issued a statement yesterday decrying the increasing political temperatures in the country which they described as risky to both economy and prosperity of the nation.
