Thursday, February 3, 2022 –Murang’a County Woman Representative Sabina Chege made a sudden stopover in Homa Bay County on Wednesday February 2 attracting an unimaginable crowd.
MP Chege landed at a local secondary school in the area for a mentorship programme and used the opportunity to urge locals to register in numbers as voters in readiness for August 9th polls.
The strong supporter of Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta would hold roadside rallies which, according to photos reaching our desk, attracted a sizeable crowd especially at Posta Ground.
“An impromptu stop-over at Posta Homa Bay Town Constituency in Homa Bay County for voter registration sensitization,” she updated.
She persuaded locals of the area to register as voters in large numbers and also drummed up support for Raila Odinga and their new Azimio la Umoja Movement.
According to political pundits, Chege has learnt mobilization skills very fast and if she maintains the same speed, she might become a force in Central Region than big shots like Martha Karua who has since toned down politically.
Ms Chege still wants to vie for Murang’a seat for the second term.
