SADC News Could see the Rest of Africa Gang up Against Randriamandrato

Chris Akali

News that the Southern African Development Community (SADC) had been instructed to vote-in their own, Mr. Richard Randriamandrato, cannot be coming as news to Raila and President William Ruto.

Raila knows the history of Africa more that anyone else. More than you and me and, by chance, if he didn’t understand it well, the likes of Museveni existed and know this character called SADC exits in which colours and height. Museveni knows it existed in which form and must have tipped Raila and Ruto about it.

This is, infact, what must have informed the intensified campaigns that saw Mr. Odinga and Ruto go door-to-door. They were trying to counter it quietly. And believe it or not, they didn’t leave empty handed.

Secondly, if the so called SADC with their 16 members decide to vote-in their own, who doesn’t have their own? Even Raila has his home which can support him even if they are two people only.

Randriamandrato getting 16 votes doesn’t guarantee him any victory and, by the way, by this news about SADC spreading quick and thick must have angered the rest of the heads of States who cannot now support Randriamandrato because of SADC’s selfishness.

It goes without saying that, this news about Randriamandrato serve him a great undoing. If true, then SADC is doing a great de-service to him than to Raila Odinga . Other blocs may gang up against SADC. You cannot tell me other blocs are not thinking too. There is no dump man here!
