Wednesday, May 29, 2024 –Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has today told his boss to stop bullying other members in the ruling party.
Sakaja also called out the deputy president for disrespecting his boss President William Ruto and his staff based at the Statehouse.
Furthermore, the Nairobi County governor wondered why Mr. Gachagua is making noise after being subjected to criticism for only a week when he(Gachagua) has been bullying other members, as well, for two years.
Reminding Gachagua of his attacks on Nairobi County leadership, Sakaja indicated that he is a strong man who will not be shaken by anyone and that he is in full control of Nairobi County until 2027.
Wait for 2027
The county boss further reminded those against his leadership that they will, as well, have an opportunity to run in 2027 general election.
“I have been through alot and I cannot now be intimidated. No one has any right to claim that they gave me this position. I campaigned and subjected myself to a contest and the people chose me,” Sakaja stated.
He was responding to past claims by the DP that Kikuyus supported him(Sakaja) because of the intensive lobbying done in the campaigns.
Sakaja, additionally, pointed out that the DP has been bullying people for two years since taking office, and is now crying after just a one-week criticism.
In the same line, Sakaja who is running for the UDA Party Nairobi branch chair position accused some unnamed individuals of being behind his opponent in the race James Gakuya who is current MP Embakasi North Constituency.
Gachgua Subject of Criticism
This week alone, DP Rigathi Gachagua has been a subject of debate as juniors in the ruling party openly differed with his stand on leadership.
Kapsaret Member of Parliament MP Oscar Sudi, for instance, called out the DP for preaching tribalism. This is after the second in command had accused some three individuals close to Ruto of causing divisions in the ruling party through constant propaganda.
