Thursday, November 2, 2023 –Rescue operations are underway at Learat River in Samburu after a lorry filled with passengers was swept away by floods.
In video clips on our desk, a lorry driver and his passengers were rescued on Thursday November 2 by a helicopter after raging floods submerged the vehicle following a downpour.
The driver operating in Samburu County wanted to wade through the raging floods when the bizarre incident happened.
In the photos on our desk, as the lorry got submerged by the water, the occupants got out through the window to try and stay atop the vehicle.
Residents who witnessed the incident quickly raised alarm calling for urgent rescue operations from the police.
