Sunday, April 21, 2024 –Questions continued being raised as to why the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta didn’t show up at Ogolla’s funeral service on Saturday.
First to throw shade at the former head of State is Lawyer Miguna Miguna who criticised the ex-president and his family for not paying any tribute to the fallen KDF boss, Francis Ogolla.
“I didn’t see despot Uhuru Kenyatta at the CDF, General Francis Omondi Ogolla’s last military honour. The demagogue hasn’t even condoled with General Ogolla’s family.
“That is disgraceful for a shameless unqualified drunkard who desecrated the presidency, used tribalism to appoint CDFs, and tried to mess up Kenya and set up Ogolla in 2022,” Miguna charged.
But Kenyawide.com news desk tried to comb through Uhuru Kenyatta’s social accounts and noticed that on April 18, the fourth president of Kenya had drafted a long statement condoling with the bereaved.
He described Ogolla’s loss as a significant blow for the entire nation and that the CDF was an accomplished civil servant who was devoted to his job and the public in general.
“It is with great sadness that I have learned of the tragic passing of General Francis Omondi Ogolla, the Chief of Defence Forces of Kenya.
“The CDF was not only an accomplished military leader, but also a devoted patriot who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our beloved country. His leadership, bravery, and unwavering commitment to duty have made a lasting impact on our armed forces and our nation as a whole,” he noted also.
Gen. Ogolla died in a helicopter crash at the Kaben-Cheptulel border between Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot counties.
The late will be laid to rest in Siaya County today Sunday April 21.
