See how Clever Ruto Plays Your Mind to his 2027 Re-election

Chris Akali

On the matter of Identity Card fees, President William Ruto is playing with our minds. He is the same person who introduced this months ago despite the resistance.

So when he goes on the rooftop to announce that he has abolished the fee and idle Kenyans still clap for him remains a shocking move to some of us.

And that is how he may end up playing with your minds to his re-election. I tell people Ruto getting re-elected is not a hard task. A Kenyan voter is too ignorant to all other things. Past wrongs are history. On the ballot day, he or she will only remember the Ksh 100 you gave yesterday and vote blindly.

And Lawyer Nelson Havi had a similar observation with Ruto’s Guthurai declaration to abolish ID Card fee:

“The fees for an ID were imposed by the Government of President William Ruto. In fact, the Gazette Notice was signed by the current Deputy President, Kindiki Kithure. And here you are in Githurai and Korogocho cheering the abolition of the fees. Kenyans must stop being stupid,” Lawyer Havi noted.

I tend to agree with Havi on every letter. Towards next general election, the many bad policies Ruto brought into existence will be struck off from the sunroof and Kenyans will clap and sing ‘Ruto, Ruto, Ruto’. They will sing Ruto to his re-election.

Wait and see as Ruto starts to change your mind slowly and steadily. He is not new to politics. In fact, he understands Kenya’s rough politics than the rest of us.
