Tanzanian Bongo Star Diamond Platnumz was paid a whopping sh 20 million to perform at Furaha City Festivals, Nairobi.

According to his communication team which is back in Kenya for other entertainment businesses, the singer was not wrong because he was the star artiste who was to perform last and at a specific time.

“Diamond could not have used the stage which is chaotic. We depend on Diamond a lot more than anyone else.

“Willy Paul wanted fame using Diamond’s name,” Baba Levo announced in a press briefing with social media reporters on Wednesday.

Baba Levo further noted that the reason Diamond must be respected all the time and accorded enough security and dignity home and away is because he invests well in his music.

The communication team also noted that any money paid by promoters to the singer for the Furaha event cannot be refunded because the organizers are the ones who broke their agreement.

“Diamond has a class. You must treat him well despite payments and, if you mess with agreement, he leaves and no refund will be done,” stated Baba Levo.

The team also took issue with Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi as well as Kasipul for disrespecting Tanzanians who have supported their art to rise to the levels they are today.

Singer Diamond has, however, promised to be back to Kenya soon for another performance as long as there will order and security.
