Thursday, April 21, 2022 –Vocal Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has reportedly been arrested by detectives.
The DP William Ruto’s close defender, on Thursday April 21 afternoon, took to his social media platforms, with the message that he had been picked from his rural home in Nandi and was being rushed to Nairobi.
“I have just been arrested and taken to Nairobi,” he updated his Twitter handle.
He, however, did not clarify why he had been picked by the police and taken to Nairobi for questioning.
We tried to reach out to him or his aides but it was not possible to get anymore clarifications on the matter.
This is coming barely a week after Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, Benson Mutura, was also picked up by DCI officers on Wednesday, April 20, over alleged theft.
