Monday, February 7, 2022 –Senegal has won Africa Cup of Nations AFCON after Sadio Mane rejuvenated himself to score in a killer penalty shootout against Egypt.
Mane had lost an initial penalty kick which he had created himself and throughout seemed to struggle to prove himself again as the talisman of his Senegalese side.
Unfortunately, the international danger man was marked by Egypt rivals throughout the game which ended nil-nil same to extra 30-minutes to penalty session.
It was Sadio Mane who also plays for Liverpool who, unbelievably, saved the day by scoring the last penalty kick, sending the entire pitch into both frenzy and celebrations.
The AFCON match finals ended with a win for Senegal.
