Several Deaths Reported Following Horrific Road Accident Along a Nakuru Road

Wednesday, December 14, 2022 –Close to eight persons perished in a ghastly road accident that occurred along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Tuesday December 13 afternoon.

Confirming the afternoon accident, Nakuru West Sub-county Police Commander Edwin Otieno said this happened at Ngata area on Tuesday.

Saddening images seen by Homenews.co.ke depicted a horror-like incident that involved more than two vehicles with one 14-seater van completely wrecked.

On the other hand, another matatu had overturned after hitting into the trailer leaving several lifeless bodies scattered on the highway.

A rescue mission comprising of traffic police arrived at the scene and started to pull out injured survivors as they bundled them into standby medical ambulances.

Nakuru Level 5 Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Aisha Maina confirmed to the media that at least 21 persons had been admitted to the facility with serious injuries.

The actual cause of the accident was not yet disclosed by the time this article was going on air; and the death toll had already hit eight.

This was the second carnage, in two weeks, at the notorious Ngata black-spot.
