Friday, January 26, 2024 -Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifina has called on President William Ruto to show the country his plan.
In a speech he made at the Coast during the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party grassroots registration exercise on Friday January 26, Mr Sifuna wondered why, a year down the line, Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza administration was yet to implement any of their ambitious plans they promised supporters.
The city lawmaker said, Ruto ought to show the country any one fully implemented plan to prove wrong the opposition leader who has delivered many plans that go in tandem with the masses.
Sifuna noted also that Raila Odinga had issued practical agenda to the ruling regime. He cited two strategies that this government can try and become a success story.
Among the things Sifuna listed include the halting of the housing levy and the stop to implementing the questioned Finance Act 2023.
“I want to challenge Ruto to show Kenyans any plan as he had promised. Raila already showed him two things which no Kenyan want to hear,” the vocal lawmaker argued.
Senator Sifuna who is serving currently as the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party Secretary general said this shortly after his party issued a thanks message to the courts for standing with the people on the aspect of Housing levy.
The Court of Appeal today Friday upheld High Court verdict on the unconstitutionality of the levy.
However, Dr. Ruto, while on his tour in Meru, immediately, responded saying the programme will continue regardless.
