Friday, February 5, 2021 -If Mr. Musalia Mudavadi wants to get any political support from Mr. Raila Odinga, let him join the Orange Party. Secretary General ODM, Edwin Sifuna has said.
Sifuna has said it will not be easy to support Musalia or any other person running on a different party.
He asserted that the only sure way Musalia would get full support from Mr. Odinga was through beating the latter in the primaries.
“Therefore, there is absolutely no chance that ODM will support another party’s candidate. We have participated in elections before and won as ODM. People should not create the notion that ODM must be in a coalition to win an election,” Sifuna said.
Sifuna sought to know what special thing Mr. Mudavadi had that should persuade Odinga to support him in the 2022 race.
“What is this that Mudavadi has that Raila must support him? What is this expertise that he will bring to the table that Raila does not have?” he posed.
He made it clear that his track record falls short of leadership experience and cannot even be compared to Oparanya’s development history in Kakamega County.
