Monday, March 8, 2021 -Kenyans have been asked to always treat as personal opinion whatever Oburu Oginga says about the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party.
Speaking on Monday Morning while appearing on Citizen Tv with Waihiga Mwaura, ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said their Party leader Raila Odinga was a man who stands for himself and cannot wait for endorsements some which may not add value to his presidency.
“ODM is not a family business. ODM is a political party that is funded by taxpayers, so if you want to know the position of the party, listen to what the party leader is saying, not what his brother or relatives are saying.” Sifuna clarified.
He warned those reducing ODM to a family affair saying anything spoken by Oburu should not be treated serious just because he was Raila’s elder brother.
“It is very unfair to Hon. Raila Odinga for you to reduce the political party he leads to personal property,” said the ODM Secretary-General.
Nonetheless, Mr. Sifuna made it clear that, just like any other member of the ODM Party, Oburu too had a right to say whatever he wanted on personal level.
