Tuesday, September 27, 2022 –Orange Democratic Alliance ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has rubbished President William Ruto’s new Cabinet nominees today.
Through a series of social media rants, Mr. Sifuna pointed out how Ruto had failed terribly in his choice of the cabinet and, therefore, stands high chance of losing when the names are finally brought to the floor for debating.
He challenged legislators to throw away more than half of the names when they will be brought forward in the House for deliberations before finally being ratified by Ruto at Statehouse.
“If our colleagues in the National Assembly stay true to their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, more than half of those criminals proposed should not make it to Cabinet.
“That they went for the very worst of the bunch for Cabinet should tell you that there is no intention to Govern at all. I mean is that a proposed cabinet list or a criminal cases update from the office of the DPP?” he added.
President Ruto today Tuesday September 27 afternoon unveiled his new Cabinet Ministers including Prime Cabinet Minister – a post he handed Amani National Congress ANC Party boss, Musalia Mudavadi.
Several other loyalists were also rewarded with plum State positions among them Ms Aisha Jumwa who was given the Gender docket.
“Thank you my President H.E Dr @WilliamsRuto for the nomination as Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Gender & Affirmative Action. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve under your stewardship & all Kenyans!” she remarked.
Others are Eliud Owalo who was also rewarded with the ICT docket formerly run by Joe Mucheru while Ababu Namwamba was given the Sports Ministry.
