Sonko promises to stay out of politics for 10 years

Saturday, January 9, 2021 -Embattled Ex-Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko may not be in politics for a period of 10 years – according to his own words.

Speaking today on Saturday January 9th, Mr. Sonko was clear that he was now becoming impatience of engaging in unnecessary supremacy wars with the State because the push and pull was punishing residents for no good reason.

President Uhuru Kenyatta with Governor Mike Sonko.

He went on to ask the head of State to respect Nairobi residents by letting the will of the people to play out through the ballot.

That handpicking a leader without consulting residents will be an impunity of the highest order and, for that reason, let the scheduled by-lection give Nairobi people a leader.

“I want to relax for ten years because it is not a must I lead Nairobi people but let the will of the people prevail in peace,” the politician noted. Video/Courtesy-

He went on to blame Mr. Kenyatta and his inner circle for ejecting him from office as well as rejecting his Deputy Governor nominee Anne Kananu Mwenda when Polycarp Igathe had left for corporate world.
