Tuesday, January 26, 2021 –Embattled ex-city boss Mike Mbuvi Sonko has escalated his war of words with Interior Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho.

Through a fierce thread he started on Monday January 25, Mr. Sonko sensationally claimed that plans to eliminate the Orange Democratic Movement ODM boss Raila Odinga were ready and this was to be orchestrated on his arrival from the US at the height of the disputed 2017 elections.

He named PS Karanja Kibicho as among the top State officials who planned day and night  to assassinate Mr. Odinga through a bullet.

He went ahead to share a video in which Mama Ida Odinga was attending to a sit down interview with Mashirima Kapombe of Citizen Tv and recounting how her three family members were aimed at with live bullets which shuttered their cars’ windscreens.

Former premier Raila Amollo Odinga was in the front car whose windscreen was shuttered by a bullet but luckily he was butting on a bullet proof jacket that saved his life. His car was also armored.

Ida went ahead to recount ugly events that unfolded when his husband Mr. Odinga touched down at JKIA from the US.

“If things went the way they had planned, I would have lost three members of my family. My daughter Winnie was in the car and my son son was in the car behind his father’s. I called the inspector general to ask him what was happening and he asked what was happening. I told him to watch TV and he said there was no television near him but I knew he was lying,” Mama Ida narrated.

Sonko in his damning threat has further promised to table more evidence on the same claiming that he was the top mobilizer in the city and therefore knows quite a lot on how the 2017/18 elections were planned with hatred and finally rigged against Mr. Odinga.

“I am also ready to table evidence of how the deep state organized the attempted assassination of former P.M @RailaOdinga in 2017, and how the same system financed the delivery of sewerage at the Jacaranda Grounds to prevent the then People’s President from holding a public rally, ” Sonko’s Monday tweet read.

Mr. Kibicho has already gone to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI Headquarters to lodge a complaint with a promise to hold Mr. Sonko to account through courts.
