Wednesday, February 7, 2024 -Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and 16 others have been acquitted in a case relating to the alleged misappropriation of funds amounting to sh 357 million belonging to the Nairobi county government.
The matter which has protracted for years was, today Wednesday February 7, settled in the Nairobi Anti-Corruption Court.
Sonko born Mike Mbuvi Sonko was the second governor of Nairobi after Dr. Evans Kidero.
He was known for his philanthropy around the city through the famous Sonko Rescue team.
