Sunday, March 31, 2024 -Former Kakamega Governor Wickliffe Oparanya has asked Health Cabinet Secretary CS Susan Nakhumicha to stop addressing doctors in funerals.
Speaking to the CS in Kakamega on Sunday March 31, Oparanya wondered why the Health CS would spend her day hopping from one funeral to the next speaking about the ongoing doctors’ strike.
“And let me tell you something you maybe don’t know. I was a governor ten years. I was also a cabinet secretary. Don’t address doctors in funerals. These are people who spent time in books and are far much better ahead of you,” said Oparanya.
He added that most of these doctors are Schooled and scored an A.
Oparanya reminded CS Nakhumicha that threatening people who also own private hospitals and make money away from their government job, is a move that won’t yield much.
CS Nakhumicha was attending same local event with Oparanya and other leaders.
