- Stop Misusing the Phrase ‘Ruto Must Go’ - February 4, 2025
Kenyans sometimes make people laugh at them. They are their own great undoing.
Nowadays, slay queens and some young men in Jeans, go to the club, drink Chrome and Hunters add some shisha add puffs of marijuana to sing and chant ‘Ruto Must Go’ slogans.
It is sad that this young men can only remember that ‘Ruto Must Go’ when they are drunk. Meaning they do not mean what they say.
Misusing the phrase ‘Ruto Must Go’ dilutes the purpose and makes a once serious agenda look a normal day to day occurrance. It turns a serious national agenda into a Gengetone rap song to be enjoyed rather than to topple a rogue government.
Traditionally, the phrase ‘..Must Go’ used to mean a revolution; not a dance in a night club by slay queens.
How do you want to remove a fully sworn-in dictator like Museveni from office while dancing at night in a club? How will you chase a fully sober Ruto while you are drunk like skunks? How will you chase away Ruto while you are laughing, jumping and drinking bear?
Jokers you make Ruto laugh at you every day and could lead you for ten years, uninterrupted.
