Suspected Nurse Arrested With Heroin Drug

Wednesday, September 8, 2021 -A 42 year old lady nurse at Mbagathi Hospital has been arrested with pellets believed to be packets of Heroin drug.

The arrest incident which took place yesterday Tuesday September 7 was made possible by sleuths who were acting on a timely tip off from a reliable source.

The person who leaked this reached out to the DCI offices through the #FichuakwaDCI hotline who then acted swiftly, stormed her house at Nasra area within Kayole Nairobi where she was found.

Police went on to ransack her home and managed to recover her passport together with some more others which had names of Caroline Adongo and Risper Auma Ochieng now suspected to be part of the network.

One of the passports, according to the findings by the DCI, belonged to a person who has an ongoing case in court.

Further, the DCI recovered a job Identification Card ID in the name of Beatrice Awuor Odhiambo of Mbagathi Hospital who they found at the scene.

A weighing scale made from seed pod of opium poppy plants was recovered and which is used to weigh the drug before its packaged.

DCI documented the scene and the pellets handed over to anti-narcotics experts based at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road for forensic analysis.
