Wednesday, December 7, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has made serious demands on the current government which he now wants to pile pressure until honoured.
Addressing crowds at Kamukunji Grounds on Wednesday December 7 afternoon in their first protest rally, Mr. Odinga asked Kenyans to take the Hustlers Fund loans and do with it whatever they wanted since sh 500 loan cannot start any business.
He recounted his campaign period in which he had promised to deliver sh 6,000 stipend to struggling Kenyans so that to help them earn a living and put food on the table.
“What kind of business can be started by sh 500 which Ruto is giving you. We promised sh 6,000 and what this government is giving you is a deposit of that amount. Take it and don’t say thanks. It is your money,” Odinga fired.
The Azimio team resolved to put President William Ruto’s government under intense pressure to fulfill the promises he made during the campaigns.
Some of these promises range from addressing the cost of living in the country, drought, school fee subsidy, education, cash transfer, health sector among others.
They also want President Ruto to reinstate all the for Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC commissioners led by Vice Chairman Juliana Cherera.
