Saturday, January 28, 2023 –Just a day after Kiss 100 FM morning presenter Kamene Goro left office, Radio Maisha’s long serving talent, Beatrice Maganga, has also left studios.
In a video clip seen by this homenews.co.ke writer, emotions ran high inside Radio Maisha room as the news anchor, Ms Beatrice Maganga, officially announced her exit.
This Saturday January 28 announcement marked the end of her successful career spanning thirteen years at the Gideon Moi-owned station.
A visibly emotional Maganga, while breaking the news, slowly broke down into tears as she delivered this information.
This happened after she had just read her 5 minute long morning news bulletin which was, as usual, well-presented and scripted.
While bidding by, the eloquent talented news anchor recounted her life at the Mombasa Road-based studios and the relationship she has had with colleagues stretching into a decade plus.
She went on to assure her fanbase that she will shortly be back; but did not specify which channel she will make a comeback on.
“We will still meet, and I will issue an update on the socials,” Maganga stated as she bid farewell to fans and colleagues as captured in the video attached below.
Her exit comes at a time when most media houses are restructuring in response to the changing operational environment and post-Covid recovery efforts.
Many established names in the media industry have since lost jobs one after another with the latest being Kamene Goro of Kiss 100.
Others who have left stage include, Mark Maasai of NTV, Dennis Okari(NTV), Mutuma Mathew(NTV), Churchill Otieno etc.
