Tuesday, March 30, 2021 -President Samia Suluhu has picked on Dr. Philip Mpango to take over her Vice President position which fell vacant on her rise.

Ms Suluhu, who took over reins of power from the late John Pombe Magufuli,  nominated Philip Mpango to be her vice what the House unanimously approved in a single sitting.

The controversial nominee however is among the top figures who supported the aspect of no Covid-19 virus in Tanzania. He is on record supporting anything his boss Magufuli preached.

When the late Magufuli was fighting for his dear life in hospital, Mpango was also reported to be hospitalized in Nairobi for similar medication which he however denied after recovery.

“I came to the hospital with my oxygen cylinder but in the last three days I did not use it because my health has improved,” he said.

Opposition top figure in Tanzania told his supporters that he had been reliably informed about Mpango suffering from Covid-19 same to the late Magufuli.

Mr. Mpango has all along been the Finance and Planning Minister since 2015 and, in many instances, he has been touted as a loyal man to his bosses what sets him apart from the rest.

His coming into power now means the two – Suluhu and Mpango – will work day and night to do exactly that which Magufuli used to do, whether good or bad, while in power.

They might continue preaching the anti-Covid gospel same as wreaking havoc to opposition voices most of who had fled the country fearing for their lives.
