Saturday, February 11, 2023 –President Uhuru Kenyatta is among the leaders who arrived early at the venue for the burial of the former Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha.

A number of leaders started arriving at the home as early as at 8.30AM to mourn and lay to rest one of the fallen respected academician, Prof George Magoha.

On his arrival some time around 10AM, the former president Mr. Kenyatta was received by ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo as well as Education CS Ezekiel Machogu.

Leaders both elected and not including University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Kiama Gitahi and former Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya were among those who arrived early.

Government sent both the Kenya Defence Forces KDF and the National Police Service NPS officers to take charge of the burial activities.

Magoha’s body was airlifted from Nairobi to his Siaya Village where it received by both State officers and soldiers in uniform.

Those who are expected to attend the burial service are Opposition chief Raila Odinga and scores of State officials and Cabinet members.
