The Problem in Kenya is Leadership

Chrispen

The problem with Kenya is not money; the problem with this country is leadership. Thuggery kind of leadership.

The people we elect can steal even donations meant for the disabled and widows. They do not have morals, integrity and are shameless of everything.
We have had not one case of top government officials engaging in ugly importation deals of substandard consumer items. Contaminated sugar and oil have, not once, been discovered at the Port and no one is held accountable.
We have also had a top Cabinet Secretary allow in the country highly adulterated fertilizer for poor farmers. And nothing happened to him. He is still walking scot free and ready to even run for a more senior political position, shamelessly.
Fuel is another sector that has been invaded by these senior powerful cartels in the name if leaders. Walk into any filling station and all you get into your car is substandard fuel that, within some period, breakdown your expensive auto engine
Several times, EPRA has established this crime but until now no one has been held responsible of this criminal conduct. And life goes on as if nothing serious happened. Why? Because senior political figures are involved.
Kenya is the only country where a government official sells out donations worth millions and nothing happens to him or her.
We have also had the same same guys in suits selling treatment drugs and condoms donated to KEMSA. Life still goes on as usual.
As if that is not enough, money donated by well wishers and other goodwill nations for the vulnerable and poor families including the disabled is smoothly diverted to personal use and no body is arrested and charged. If by chance, anyone is arrested, it is only done for cosmetic purposes before you hear it’s over. The case was thrown away.
The biggest problem we have in Kenya is leadership. Tell me how can an economy improve under such people at the helm of governance?
Luckily, the beauty of all these, God in Heaven has never spared their lineage. Cursed their generation, forever.
