Saturday, January 15, 2022 –Eldoret-born-billionaire Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop alias Bezeki has re-affirmed his unwillingness to join Deputy President William Ruto’s team.
Mr. Buzeki has said members of UDA have been bothering him with ultimatums to join UDA Party or risk losing again in the next polls.
Addressing in the coronation of Uasin Gishu Kikuyu Council of Elders Chairman Mzee Kimani wa Gatonye of Friday January 14, the businessman said that UDA Party leadership, upto now, has not sold him any viable agenda that could see him decide to join camp.
“Another one told me that they had given me until December last year to join UDA. The party has not given me their manifesto and I have heard what they are going around saying and I don’t want to join UDA. Don’t even force me,” he remarked.
He instead said the only time he can decide to join Ruto’s Hustler camp is through ideas and not threats.
It should be remembered that Buzeki left Isaac Rutto’s Chama cha Mashinani CCM Party in which he was their Secretary General after his party leader started supporting William Ruto again.
He was not comfortable working with United Democratic Alliance politicians over their 2017 nomination differences which have remained unresolved todate.
“I can’t be a party to such politics that is based on lies and propaganda. I will not and will never be part of Tangatanga style of politics,” he added.
Buzeki has since been hinting at running on an independent ticket.
