Wednesday, July 27, 2022 āKisii Gubernatorial candidate, Manson Nyamweya, has confirmed the sad death of his three security officers who were involved in a fatal road accident.
The car which the victims were traveling in was involved in the accident with a motorbike leading to their instant deaths.
Mr. Nyamweya, who was speaking to the medi on Wednesday July 27 morning, stated that the three died in a fatal road accident at Nyambunwa area while he (the politician) was leaving the burial of the mother to former Nyaribari Masaba MP Elijah Moindi.
Nyamweya who is the Kenya National Congress (KNC) Party leader also stated that the driver of the vehicle lost control on trying to avoid the motorbike and a pedestrian.
He added that the ill-fated car rolled over multiple times hence leaving the three dead on the spot and two others with critical injuries.
“The vehicle they were traveling in was avoiding a collision with a pedestrian who was crossing the road and an approaching motorbike, only to veer off the road and roll severally causing fatal injuries to the deceased persons,” he said.
The former South Mugirango lawmaker took the opportunity to grief with the affected families and promised to support them during this difficult moments.
Those who died include Joel Ositu, Seth Omambia and Stephen Makori.
