Monday, October 9, 2023 – Three Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI cops have been hospitalized after encountering a life-threatening assignment in the city.

Making the confirmation today Monday October 9 morning, a statement from the DCI headquarters indicated that the detectives were injured while pursuing a robbery suspect yesterday on Sunday October 8.

And today Monday October 9, their boss Mr. Amin Mohamed went to pay them a visit in hospital where they are recovering well.

“Director of Criminal Investigations Mr. Mohamed Amin, visits detectives who were injured while pursuing robbery suspects yesterday,” part of the statement read.

The three officers who are responding well to treatment were on a mission to recover a firearm from a notorious thug in Kasarani area.

“The trio however managed to recover the firearm a Ceska pistol and fatally wounded the attacker. We wish the injured officers a speedy recovery,” further read the DCI statement.

They were injured when they came under a hail of fire from the thug.
