Saturday, August 24, 2024 –Lawyer Ahmedasir Abdullahi has described the current economic advisory organ as a dumping site for rejects.
Taking to his social media platforms today Saturday August 24, the city lawyer who has also represented President William Ruto on Weston Hotel saga, said by Ruto reappointing the likes of Moses Kuria to take over roles in the important economic agency, means this has lost its meaning.
He added that President William Ruto is now focused more on giving roles to those which the members of the public have rejected before so that to maintain his political clout across the country.
“Ruto’s Council of Economic advisers has lost any useful meaning. First, as an amorphous organ with ever expanding membership. It is now the official dumping ground for those H.E RUTO can’t find a useful/meaningful job, those who can’t make it outside government (what will Owalo do without government job?) and those he personally feels pity for like Kuria,” Lawyer Ahmednasir stated.
He sought answers on what the newly-appointed figures have achieved in their previous roles in government that warrants them another State job.
“Second, what grand or even small ideas or solutions can one associate or attribute to these noble and distinguished men/women in this organ of state in fixing our economy other than taxing us to death?”
The lawyer said this just a day after President William Ruto brought back a number of those he dismissed recently from his Cabinet following public outcry.
Among those who he has reappointed in advisory senior roles are Mr. Moses Kuria, Dennis Itumbi and Eliud Owallo.
