Tuju speaks on Handshake, Matungu’s ODM loss

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 -Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has finally spoken about the ongoing handshake split rumour.

Speaking on KTN Tv on Tuesday, Tuju wondered why some sections were so concerned with falsehood peddled around by Handshake rivals who never wanted Raila and Uhuru to bring the country together.

He said in-case there was any problems in the Handshake, only the president and Mr. Odinga can sit down and talk between themselves on the way forward.

He seized the opportunity to admit that, just like in any political environment, the Handshake was also facing upheavals which are nevertheless manageable.

The CS without portfolio added that there are a clique of persons who are working day and night to frustrate the Uhuru and Raila pact sayingt such evil minds must always be there to destroy anything looking good.

“What do you expect in a toxic political environment like today? I mean all these destroyers will be there with us. They will talk and even use resources to bring down anything good,” Tuju stated.

The Sec Gen also assured the country that the Building Bridges Initiative BBI will not be allowed to end prematurely and cautioned their supporters not to lose focus of the bigger picture

Tuju added that a few misunderstandings within the BBI will soon be ironed out and that there was nothing substantive to worry any Kenyans as of now.

He also weighed on the just concluded volatile Matungu by-election which he said it was not true that the government was biased against ODM.

He asked ODM brothers to accept that Democracy was the way forward and the will of the people must be respected at all the time.
