Tuko, a leading digital news platform in Kenya, is striving to sustain its position in the ever-changing digital space and with Majale’s vast knowledge in digital career, she is expected to wheel the media station into a leading news avenue heading into year 2024.

Sought for a comment by a local media house, Majale expressed delight in her new position which she will be starting on Monday, May 1, 2023.

“In terms of my own personal plans for the role, I want to continue increasing partnerships for the team, diversifying content, and enhancing team growth in general,” Majale added.

She seized the opportunity to recount her successful rise in online media since 2013 when digital journalism started penetrating local market.

“I can’t state that it’s a series of things (that pushed me to success), I knew I would be at the helm someday, but I did not know it would be this soon.

“From the beginning, I set out to push the TUKO brand as part of personal development and not for a position,” she went on.

Her predecessor, Mr. Ramenya, commenting on the changes, exuded confidence in Majale whom he said will not let down the media station due to her capability and experience.

“I loved everything at Tuko and I’m confident in Julia taking over and I’m sure she will take the company to the next level,” he mentioned.
