Sunday, February 20, 2022 –A car hit a roadside wall killing 4 persons on the spot along Ngong Road in Nairobi, near Dagoretti area.
Confirming the incident, OCPD of Lang’ata Benjamin Mwathi, said that the accident happened in the morning of Sunday February 20. It was also established that out of the four victims, two were foreign nationals from Canada.
“Currently, we are speaking to their next of kin so we cannot divulge further details but we will release a full statement thereafter. The accident involved two foreign nationals,” he stated.
The ill-fated car was headed to Nairobi before the driver lost control hitting a railway bridge wall; what led to the chilling crash.
“In total, six people- three men and three women, were pulled out of the vehicle. A man and a woman were pulled out of the boot, but only after the vehicle had been removed from the ditch. One of the men was a foreigner, and I figure they were couples,” a resident recounted.
Motorist have since blamed the Kenya Urban Reads Authority KURA for not labeling the road well what has led to increased accidents along the route.
