Saturday, September 17, 2022 –Office attendant at the United Democratic Alliance Party Everlyn Korir is now a lucky woman after she was nominated in the capacity of a Member of County Assembly, Baringo County
Lucky Korir had volunteered to work at William Ruto’s UDA Party headquarters situated along Makindu Road what has now informed her new position at an MCA.
In her desperation for some income, she visited the offices to volunteer a daytime job while, at night, attended to her virtual learning exercise in which she was pursuing an online course.
“It was one of those moments when you are almost finishing school and you have nothing to do. So I decided to join the party and volunteer my services,” she told Nation.Africa.
She would be given a job to serve as the front office attendant where her duty involved replying to inquiries as well as carry out other light office assignments and messenger’s duties.
“It was a surprise when I saw my name. I thank the party officials for trusting me with the position and I promise to deliver for the residents of Baringo,” an elated Korir added.
It would later turn out that her name was among the 5 persons who were running errands at the Makindu Road-based offices.
In a story carried out by the Nation.Africa on Saturday September 17, the three of them were nominated to represent gender while two will represent special interest groups.
These names are Lydia Jeptoo (Nandi), Beatrice Chepkemoi (Kericho), Evans Kipyegon (Baringo) and Noela Omollo (Kericho).
The publication established that Jeptoo was key in hospitality area where she oversaw meal preparations at the offices.
