Friday, June 10, 2022 –A female pastor mistakenly referred to Kenya Kwanza as Kenya Kwisha during the opening prayers at the Kenya Kwanza Women Charter Conference held in Nairobi today Friday June 10.
In her prayers to the coalition leaders, Pastor Jane Wairimu of AIC Maragwa, clad in UDA yellow dress and who was leading the prayer session referred to Kenya Kwanza as Kenya Kwisha almost bringing the event to a sudden standstill.
Interestingly, some crowd in the audience went into a deep laughter as if it was a pre-planned mistake to embarrass the alliance leaders.
“We want to come into agreement with the Kenya Kwisha…a ahha Kenya Kwanza,” she was heard stammering in the middle of the prayers as DP William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua waited for the prayers on the front raw.
The event which was held at Nyayo Stadium saw hundreds of women from across the country flock the venue for the session as part of drumming up support for William Ruto-Gachagua ticket ahead of August 9 elections.
“Even in the spiritual realm, it’s recognized as Kenya Kwisha Alliance! The lady has prayed in truth and in spirit,” Blogger Pauline Njoroge made a joke of the slip.
This is not the first time members of Kenya Kwanza alliance were making this mistake in public, while in their Busia County tour a month ago, one of the aspirants who had been allowed to address supporters also mentioned Azimio instead of Kenya Kwanza in the presence of William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi.
