Uhuru for the first time comments on Ruto’s presidential bid

Saturday, January 30, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally made it clear that he will not be supporting Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 race.

Uhuru who was speaking at the ongoing Sagana Lodge Conference told the delegates that Ruto has been interfering with his work every day making service delivery a very hard task just because he(the DP) was obsessed with matters 2022.

In the long address to the over 7000 strong delegation, Uhuru for the first time, pointed out how Ruto is not the man he can hand over the mantle when the right time comes because he lacks patience.

“A certain person creeped behind me and almost snatched my microphone at Bomas of Kenya when I was explaining the extent in his involvement in the BBI process,” the president recounted.

He would go ahead to blame the DP for fighting all important government programmes like the BBI process which is one of the best ideas for this country.

In black and white, therefore, Uhuru refuted claims that he had promised to back his deputy for the 2022 Presidential bid. He also clarified that he was yet to support Mr. Odinga as his haters seem to preempt.

“Some people keep saying I made a promise to them… Ask your guy why he can’t allow me to do my work and keeps coming back for the baton, instead of waiting for his turn,” he added.

He further blamed his deputy for the ongoing revolt from his Mr. Kenya region saying he(the DP) was charging up Mt. Kenya region for revenge.
