Monday, May 31, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta has identified the lawyer he believes will finally save them from further embarrassment when the BBI case picks up at the Court of Appeal
In his Sunday May 31 address while at Wagai Market in Siaya County, Uhuru identified Lawyer James Orengo as the man they will all be waiting to see how he will bring to life the already dying Building Bridges Initiative BBI.
“What is before us we will sort it out, I am sure. If we have lawyers like Senator Orengo, can we be defeated really?” he posed.

The President seized the opportunity to reveal that the reason they started the project was not to benefit individuals – neither him nor his Handshake soulmate Raila Odinga.
“BBI is not helping Raila and his family. BBI is not helping Uhuru. It is for bringing justice for every Kenyan. And that is what I am pleading with you, please come out and support it,” he pleaded.
Orengo joined the BBI team of lawyers at a later stage alongside Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo. According to insiders, Raila had to reach out to the two top cream Constitutional lawyers despite their rebellious nature over the same BBI.
Orengo and Amollo showed open defiance over the additional 70 constituencies as proposed in the BBI.
But after intensive persuasion from Mr. Odinga, They had to make a political u-turn for both the interest of their party and relationship with Odinga.
Uhuru and Raila are currently pitching camp in Luo Nyanza where they are commissioning several mega projects and to preside over the Madaraka Day Celebrations.
