Uhuru Promises to Show the Country What ‘Handshake’ had Done

Monday, February 7, 2022 –President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised to start going round the country to show Kenyans what he has referred to as the ‘Handshake work’ following his unity with Raila Odinga.

Addressing during Mombasa tour today February 7, the head of State took issue with Tangatanga brigade led by his deputy William Ruto whom he accused of doing rooftop politics on cars instead of working for the people who elected them.

He said his unity with Mr. Odinga had made his development agenda a reality and therefore he doesn’t regret whatever move he made a couple of years ago.

He accused Ruto of politicking throughout his tenure at the expense of development for the people who had entrusted them with high office.

He termed Ruto’s obsession with empty promises as a way of hoodwinking helpless Kenyans to believe in lies so that to vote for him again.

“Development projects are not implemented from the rooftop of vehicles. This penchant of propagating lies at rallies should stop in this country,” Uhuru addressed.

The head of State added that he will not retire from active politics just because he is doing his last lap in office.

He promised to make sure he also votes-in his favourite leader just like everyone else will be choosing their leaders.

Uhuru was responding to Kenya Kwanza’s latest remarks in which they appeared to be unhappy with his involvement in succession politics.
