Uhuru Rehires George Natembeya to President’s Office

Thursday, January 13, 2022 –President Uhuru Kenyatta has redeployed resigned Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya to the office of the president.

This is after Natembeya yesterday Wednesday January 13 penned a resignation letter saying he is now focused on vying for Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat.

In the office of the president, it is still not very clear which role the tough talking officer will be playing.

Mr. Natembeya since taking over police boss role in which he has served for not less than 25 years, has seen a lot of transformation due to his firm stand on matters security.

According to Pulse Magazine, when he was appointed as a regional commissioner, he became the youngest person to hold that office.

He began his career as an administrator in the President’s Office, Harambee House, in 1996, with a background in administration from the Kenya School of Government KSG.

Mohamed Maalim appointed the new Rift Valley Regional Commissioner.

In his resignation yesterday, Natembeya announced that he was going to focus on his political ambitions in his home town.

After his resignation, Makueni County Commissioner Mohamed Maalim was immediately appointed to replace him as the new Rift Valley Regional Commissioner.
