Wednesday, May 26, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta now wants former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to bring the rest of the opposition team together ahead of the 2022 contest.
Tuko.co.ke reported on Wednesday May 26 that with the increasing open protest in Mt. Kenya created by the increasing presence of William Ruto on the ground, Uhuru nolonger wants to take chances anymore. The plan is to block the DP’s 2022 presidential ambitions.
These efforts by the Statehouse will ensure that Raila takes over the One Kenya Alliance with its partners who were once all in the National Super Alliance NASA coalition of 2017.
Currently, Raila and his Handshake partner President Uhuru Kenyatta are also fighting hard get back to life the Building Bridges Initiative BBI so that the country can go through a Referendum process before the end on the year.
On his part, DP William Ruto has remained adamant that the country is not yet ready for the Constitutional Amendment; this saw him recently celebrate the fall of the BBI at the High Court.
