Sunday, January 10, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta remained in Vihiga County after attending the burial service of Mama Hannah Mudavadi on Saturday January 9th.
Kenyatta who was among the top government dignitaries at the burial service heavily characterized by political undertones is reported to have spent his night at Mululu Village with the Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi.
Revealing the news, renowned Kenyan blogger Robert Alai on Sunday January 10 morning reported about the story saying this was a good gesture for a siting president to do. He called this “demystifying presidency”.

Further details confirmed that Mr. Kenyatta wanted to spent time at Mudavadi’s home at least to reminisce old days he used to visit the home when he was still a junior government official.
Their Saturday nightlong stay at the Village must have centered on, among other things, family ties, friendship and succession politics which majored in the Mama Hannah burial service.
Uhuru in his address, warned that his stand on who would succeed him may be quiet different and he might decide that no other Kalenjin or Kikuyu will lead the country in the near future.
“To be honest, those who are saying they are tired of this or that family and that the opportunity should now be given to whoever…if that is the thinking or logic… I can also come to the conclusion that only two communities have had the presidency and we need to give another community the opportunity,” said the president, as mourners applauded him.
In the same speech at Mululu, he rekindled early days when the late Mama Hannah Mudavadi used to host them on traditional food in the village.
Mudavadi and Uhuru back in 2013 severed ways when the former was handed false promises that he would be flying the Jubilee flag. Things would shortly change with Uhuru saying the power of the devil had misled him into such thinking.
