Thursday, December 8, 2022 –Beleaguered Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke is now faulting President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to intervene in his case when it first started.
Speaking at Kakamega’s State Lodge today Thursday December 8 during President William Ruto’s first tour day in the region, MP Waluke who was among the leaders present revealed how he talked to Uhuru the other day asking him why he could not help save him from the prison.
In response, Waluke told the audience in Kakamega that the ex-president said he had tried all that he could but it was not possible.
“The other day, I told him that he retired and left me hanging. He told me that he tried his best, but he couldn’t.
“I asked him how that was possible, yet he was the President. I told him that Ruto was able to help free others. What kind of President was he?” he wondered about Uhuru’s powers.
The embattled MP used the opportunity today to revive his friendship with President William Ruto whom he reminded that this case started when he(Waluke) was in Jubilee Party.
He then asked Ruto to help him the same way he has recently helped most of his allies in the United Democratic Alliance UDA Party to come out of jail.
“You are the father of the nation. Is there another President? Even the birds in the air are under him.
“I want to plead with you over my case. Help me with it, Mr President, because I was told to leave you and go to them (Azimio) so that they can remove my case,” Mr. Waluke stated.
The MP assured Ruto that he had already fallen out with Azimio leaders because they failed to help despite luring him to join their camp in campaigns.
Waluke risked losing his seat after the court found him guilty of fraud involving sh 297 million in shady maize dealings at National Cereals and Produce Board NCPB.
