Wednesday, November 1, 2023 –Mombasa-based legendary artiste Ali Khamisi aka Ally B death news has hit our news desk.
First to share the news on X platform is Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party head of Communication Philip Etale.
“Lala salama my friend…” Etale shared the caption with the photo of Ally B.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko also mourned the late Ziki la Nazi hit composer asking God to rest his Eternal soul in peace.
“Rest in peace Ally B,” Mike Sonko wrote.
Ally B, whose real name is Ali Khamisi Mwaliguli, vied for an MCA seat in Junda Ward, in Kisauni, Mombasa County under a Jubilee Party ticket but lost out to Musumba Raphael Bwire of the ODM Party.
The artiste would, however, reject the outcome released by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) insisting that he was rigged out.
The musician Ally B, was known for hits such as ‘Maria’ and ‘Bembea’, among many others mostly played on radio,clubs and live shows.
The mellow-voiced crooner was declared dead at the Makadara Hospital in Mombasa where he was rushed after complaining of feeling unwell.
A source close to the singer reported that, before his sudden demise, the late had spent his day at Kilifi running his daily errands.
According to the sources close to the singer, Ally B died as a result of high blood pressure.
