Wednesday, March 27, 2024 -Health Cabinet Secretary CS Susan Nakhumicha failed to meet health practitioners who had scheduled a meeting with them today.
Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists Dentists Union (KMPDU) and the Health Ministry on Wednesday, March 27, had planned to meet with the Cabinet Secretary Health Susan Nakhumicha so that to deliberate on outstanding issues in health sector amid the ongoing countrywide doctors strike.
KMPDU has therefore voiced frustrations with the CS absence and said this confirms her inability to sit down and help resolve the impasse and that the government is unwilling to sort this out.
Their negotiations was planned to solve the standoff and bring to an end the doctors’ strike that has hit two weeks now.
