Sunday, July 30, 2023 –Opposition leader in South Africa, Julius Malema, has emerged with fresh attacks directed at his Kenya’s counterpart, Raila Odinga.
On Sunday July 30 morning, a video was shared on major socials showing the South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Party leader Julius Malema ridicule Odinga.
Malema, while addressing during the EFF’s 10th Anniversary Rally held at FNB Stadium in Soweto Town, is heard advising Raila to stop unnecessary demonstrations against Kenya’s government.
He goes ahead to claim that the current government of William Ruto was elected by majority of Kenyans and, therefore, remains democratic.
For that reason, the EFT leader noted that it was wrong for the Orange Democratic Movemnet ODM Party boss to keep the country in chaos and anxiety months after elections.
“Comrades, we want to make a call in Kenya specially to comrade Raila Odinga. Stop doing what you’re doing.
“Do not disrupt Kenya, we need peace in Kenya. President William Ruto was democratically elected in Kenya. I will not allow you to use the people of Kenya to destabilise the peace of Kenya,” he says.
What many are now wondering about Malema is the fact that he has also been holding similar demonstrations against South Africa’s ruling party – The African National Congress ANC.
Malema has, not once, been leading protests against President Cyril Ramaphosa whom he has accused many times of poor leadership and dictatorship.
Through his protests, the 42-year-old Malema has promised his supporters that he will finally take over South Africa come what may.
“I’m going to be president of this country, whether you like it or not. I will preside over the affairs of this country. I think you must start adjusting to that reality. The sooner you do that, the less chest pains you will have when that reality comes,” the vocal leader stated a recent press briefing with international media.
Mr. Malema, just like Uganda’s Bobi wine, is among the emerging vibrant youthful leaders in Africa.
He is an ally of President William Ruto.
