Wednesday, July 20, 2022 –Kandara Constituency Member of Parliament, Alice Wahome, has hinted at a possible betrayal against some principals in their coalition.
Speaking on Citizen Tv’s JKL show on Wednesday July 20 night, MP Wahome said Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi may not be Prime Minister or chief minister, as it had earlier been promised, because the position, in the first place, is not recognized by the Constitution of Kenya.
“The President can assign any role or roles to anybody on de facto terms without really making it official. Mudavadi may not be the Prime or chief Minister but he will be assigned a role in government,” she said.
The Kandara Member of Parliament was responding to an interjection concern from her fellow panelist Priscilla Nyokabi and the host Jeff Koinange both who wanted to know where the chief post will come from now that the Building Bridges Initiative BBI had been fought to death.
The two – Nyokabi and Wahome – spent the better part of the Wednesday debate arguing on who, from their respective presidential candidates, could make the best leader after Uhuru Kenyatta leaves office on August 9.
And as part of her closing remarks, Ms Nyokabi reminded Alice that both Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto should be going home together as a package because each has already served his 10 years in government.
