Sunday, November 28, 2021 –Anne Waiguru’s branded t-shirts were heaped together and burnt by a group on youth from Gichuku Constituency linked to her fierce rival Purity Ngirici.
The Sunday November 28 incident took place shortly before Deputy President William Ruto landed in the area for a series of activities.
K24 reported that the jackets, branded with Governor Ann Waiguru’s name and photo, were set on fire in the middle of Kianyaga-Kutus Road in an attempt that sources claimed was politically motivated between two worrying groups.
Ruto’s tour today Sunday November 28 will be his first since Governor Waiguru ditched the ruling Jubilee Party for the United Democratic Alliance UDA Party.
Waiguru and Ngirici rivalry is expected to play out even more as Ruto moves around the county to sell his Hustlers Nation agenda.
The bitter blood between Waiguru and Ngirici is purely informed by the fact that the two have to rival over party’s ticket ahead of 2022 race. And it is because of this reason that Ngirici’s relationship with DP Ruto seems deteriorating by day.
