Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu was moved from Industrial Area Remand Prison yesterday and transferred to Kamiti Maximum Security Prison.
Waititu was convicted of multimillion fraud which he committed while serving as Kiambu County Governor.
On conviction, he was required to pay fines but he has not raised the money upto now.
Chairman KICC Irungu Nyakera described the development as ill intended saying this is a political warfare against the former governor.
“Over 6 land cruisers came for Hon. Waititu from Industrial Area prisons yesterday, and transferred him to Kamiti Maximum. What Waititu is going through is not justice, it’s political warfare disguised as law. Its panic. It’s fear. Fear of his return,” he posted.
